Basketball Recap: Schoharie Takes a Loss

After soaring to 71 points the game before, Schoharie was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They came up short against the Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons Golden Knights, falling 48-27. The Storm have struggled against the Golden Knights recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Schoharie's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons, they moved to 2-10 with that victory, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Schoharie and Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Schoharie (ranked 287th) will meet Berne-Knox-Westerlo (ranked 16th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Notre Dame Bishop Gibbons will face off against North Warren Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 372 places (603 vs. 231).
