While Cole's win against San Antonio Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cougars slipped by the Lions 38-37 on Friday. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Karson Scroggins threw for 218 yards and one TD. Noah Chambers was his top target, picking up 116 receiving yards.

When it comes to explaining why San Antonio Christian lost, don't look at Sloan Guillory. Despite the final result, he rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 319 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 10.6 yards per attempt. Blaise Moberg was Guillory's top target, picking up 90 receiving yards and one score.

Cole now has a winning record of 2-1. As for San Antonio Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cole will venture away from home to take on Bandera at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Antonio Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Devine at 7:30 p.m. on the 26th.
