Osceola and Baldwin-Woodville are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2015, but not for long. The Chieftains will head out to square off against the Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Osceola sitting on five straight wins and Baldwin-Woodville on seven.

Osceola proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 28) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Amery 36-35. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Chieftains' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Warriors are ranked 130th).

Meanwhile, Baldwin-Woodville's offense rose to the challenge against a Railroaders defense that boasted an average of only 14.86 points allowed on Friday. The Blackhawks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-38 victory over Altoona.

Osceola's record now sits at 6-1. As for Baldwin-Woodville, their record is now 7-0.

Osceola took a serious blow against Baldwin-Woodville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 40-7. Can the Chieftains avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
