Softball Game Preview: George Washington Prep Generals vs. Alliance Bloomfield Bulls

The George Washington Prep Generals will challenge the Alliance Bloomfield Bulls at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. George Washington Prep is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

While George Washington Prep's victory against Hawkins wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Generals had just enough and edged out the Hawks 30-29. That's two games straight that the Generals have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Katherine Franco, who got on base in six of her seven plate appearances with five runs, five RBI, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Teaka Evans was another key player, getting on base in five of her seven plate appearances with six runs, two stolen bases, and three RBI.

Meanwhile, Alliance Bloomfield made easy work of ESAT on Wednesday and carried off a 23-12 win. The Bulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 11 runs or more this season.

George Washington Prep pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. As for Alliance Bloomfield, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-4.
