Recap: Caruthersville Tigers vs. New Madrid County Central Eagles

The Caruthersville Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by New Madrid County Central on the road and fell 82-43. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Caruthersville has scored all season.

Jadis Jones was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 37 points and 13 rebounds for New Madrid County Central. Jones has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 11 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of AJ Ruff, who scored seven points along with ten assists and seven rebounds.

Caruthersville dropped their record down to 6-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for New Madrid County Central, the win was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caruthersville is on the road again on Thursday and plays Lake County at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Caruthersville is facing Lake County at the right time seeing as Lake County is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for New Madrid County Central, they will head out on the road to square off against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Madrid County Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,632 points over their last 22 matches.
