Preview: Ethan Rustlers vs. Freeman Flyers
Ethan has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Freeman Flyers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Thursday, Ethan strolled past Mt. Vernon/Plankinton with points to spare, taking the game 61-43.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Freeman beat Lower Brule 55-51 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Freeman.
Freeman found their leader in underclassman Tate Sorensen, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sorensen has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tayden Kerrigan, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Ethan pushed their record up to 14-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Freeman, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
Ethan strolled past Freeman in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a score of 69-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ethan since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
