Baseball Recap: Standing Bear Comes Up Short

The Standing Bear Grizzlies didn't have quite enough to beat the Bennington Badgers on Thursday and fell 6-4.

Renton LaHolt was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, Standing Bear saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Henry Warren, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That hit was Warren's first of the season.

Standing Bear's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Bennington, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Standing Bear has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Lincoln Northeast on the 28th. Bennington has also already played their next match (against Varsity Opponent), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
