There's no place like home for Ravenscroft, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cary Academy Chargers on Tuesday, sneaking past 1-0. The win was all the more spectacular given Ravenscroft's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 231st, while Cary Academy are ranked 30th).

Ravenscroft's one-goal win came courtesy of Taylor Gregory, who's now up to two this season.

Ravenscroft's victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1. As for Cary Academy, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1-1.

Ravenscroft has already played their next game, a 7-1 defeat against Charlotte Country Day School on the 28th. As for Cary Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Durham Academy at 4:30 p.m. on April 8.
