Football Game Preview: Maranatha Minutemen vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles + Official Tickets

The Maranatha Minutemen will challenge the Arrowhead Christian Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Maranatha has given up an average of 27 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Maranatha might have lost, but man, Cooper Berry was a machine: he threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 47 yards. Berry is becoming a predictor of the Minutemen's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 3-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was George Pamilton, who gained 72 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Arrowhead Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Linfield Christian, falling 27-7.

Even if they lost, Arrowhead Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Mattias Woodruff was especially locked on to Linfield Christian's QB and sacked him twice. Woodruff has been hot recently, having also posted six or more total tackles the last three times he's played.

Maranatha's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Arrowhead Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Friday's matchup: Maranatha has been excellent in the air this season, having averaged 269 passing yards per game. It's a different story for Arrowhead Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 133 passing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant passing game?

Maranatha couldn't quite get it done against Arrowhead Christian in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 as they fell 34-21. Thankfully for the Minutemen, Max Hilliard (who rushed for 266 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 14.0 yards per carry, and also caught one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
