Basketball Game Preview: Pahokee Blue Devils vs. Okeechobee Brahmans

Pahokee hasn't had much luck against Okeechobee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will venture away from home to face off against the Brahmans at 7:30 p.m. Pahokee will be strutting in after a victory while Okeechobee will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Pahokee turned things around against Riviera Beach Preparatory and Achievement Academy on Thursday. They walked away with a 53-41 win over the Gladiators.

Javian Jones produced another solid performance putting up 34 points. He is becoming a predictor of Pahokee's success: when he posts at least 15 points the team is 3-1 (and 2-7 when he doesn't).

Meanwhile, Okeechobee played a tough game on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against DeSoto County, falling 50-28.

Pahokee's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Okeechobee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-14.

Everything went Pahokee's way against Okeechobee in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, as Pahokee made off with a 65-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
