Anna-Jonesboro is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Pope County: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Anna-Jonesboro blew Pope County out of the water with a 69-35 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wildcats had established a 27 point advantage.

Meanwhile, Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton came up short against Steeleville on Tuesday and fell 62-49. The defeat continues a trend for Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton in their matchups with Steeleville: they've now lost three in a row.

Anna-Jonesboro will need to focus on slowing down Brylee Martin, one of several Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton players who made an impact when they last played. She went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Caraway, who posted 12 points.

Anna-Jonesboro picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 8-20. As for Elverado/Zeigler-Royalton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-20.
