Soccer Game Preview: Horizon vs. Broomfield

Horizon is 0-9 against Broomfield since April of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Hawks will look to defend their home pitch against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Horizon will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Horizon's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over Monarch. The result was nothing new for Horizon, who have now won six matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Broomfield faced Fairview in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Broomfield couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Kohyn Pottorff, which was the first she's scored this season.

Horizon pushed their record up to 8-1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for Broomfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2.
