Grand Isle is 9-1 against Lutheran since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Trojans will challenge the Gryphons at 5:30 p.m. This will be Grand Isle's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.

On Tuesday, Grand Isle came up short against Houma Christian and fell 55-47. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran). They blew past Ecole Classique 73-26 on Thursday. The Gryphons have beaten the Spartans the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.

The win was their first on the road, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Grand Isle, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything came up roses for Grand Isle against Lutheran in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, as the squad secured a 49-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
