Thursday just wasn't the day for Johnsonburg's offense. They came up short against Clarion-Limestone on Thursday, falling 10-0. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Elk County Catholic entered their tilt with Brookville on Friday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 6-3. Six seems to be a good number for the Crusaders as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Elk County Catholic's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Johnsonburg, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
