Football Recap: Northwest Christian Wolverines vs. Ocosta Wildcats
Ocosta came into Friday's game looking for another win against Northwest Christian, but Jacob Kearns wouldn't allow it. The Wolverines managed a 20-14 victory over the Wildcats on Friday with plenty of help from Kearns, who rushed for 241 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 56 yards.
Loss or not, Ocosta got some senior leadership from Ronin Rutzer and Jonathan Lewis. Rutzer gained 257 total yards and a touchdown, while Lewis picked up 100 receiving yards and one TD. Rutzer didn't just play on offense: he also picked up a sack and made 13 total tackles.
