Volleyball Game Preview: Lakes Eagles vs. Stevenson Patriots

Lakes is 0-7 against Stevenson since May of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m.

On Thursday, Lakes came up short against Grayslake Central and fell 2-0.

Lakes might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Grayslake Central: every set was decided by exactly three points. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Stevenson earned a 2-0 victory over Lake Forest on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Scouts: they've now won eight in a row.

Stevenson easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Stevenson's victory bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Lakes, their loss dropped their record down to 8-19.

Lakes couldn't quite get it done against Stevenson in their previous meeting two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
