Baseball Recap: Vilonia Takes a Loss

Vilonia lost against White Hall back in May of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Eagles came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 8-2. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly six runs.

John Mason Halley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Carter Brown was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Vilonia's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-8. As for White Hall, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vilonia will challenge Mayflower at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White Hall, they will take on Pine Bluff at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs are facing the Zebras at the right time seeing as the Zebras are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
