Football Game Preview: Cross Creek Razorbacks vs. Hephzibah Rebels + How To Watch

The Cross Creek Razorbacks will head out to challenge the Hephzibah Rebels at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cross Creek hasn't scored more than eight points for four games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Friday, Cross Creek had to suffer through a 53-8 loss at the hands of Academy of Richmond County.

Karmani Bell put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 85 yards on only six carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 72 yards.

Meanwhile, Hephzibah got their first taste of in-conference action last Thursday and they started things off strong. They were the clear victors by a 54-34 margin over Howard. The Rebels' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Cross Creek better keep an eye on Reante Byrd. He was instrumental in Hephzibah's win, rushing for 197 yards and three TDs while picking up 9.0 yards per carry, and also throwing for 52 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Dextavion Reese got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Cross Creek's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Hephzibah, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3.

Cross Creek couldn't quite finish off Hephzibah when the teams last played back in November of 2024 and fell 28-26. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Byrd, who rushed for 142 yards and two scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Now that the Razorbacks know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
