It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Homestead had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They never let the West Bend West Spartans get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Give Homestead's defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Adam Schumacher, who's now up to three this season.

Homestead is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season. As for West Bend West, their loss ended an 11-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-6.

Coming up, Homestead will take on DeForest on Friday. DeForest's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Homestead's offense will have their work cut out for them. West Bend West does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
