Softball Recap: Northside Comes Up Short

Northside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-2 to the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cavaliers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 9-2 loss on Tuesday.

Northside's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Lord Botetourt, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northside will challenge William Byrd at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lord Botetourt, they will venture away from home to face off against Cave Spring at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Cavaliers surely won't give up without a fight.
