Soccer Recap: Georgetown Day Takes Down Ranked Holton-Arms

Georgetown Day is ranked highly in their home state and on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Holton-Arms. The Mighty Hoppers walked away with a 3-1 win over Holton-Arms. Alexis Rayford had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Georgetown Day.

Georgetown Day has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That lines up perfectly with their 10-1-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those eight contests. As for Holton-Arms, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Coming up, Georgetown Day will take on Georgetown Visitation Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holton-Arms does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
