Recap: Hillcrest Vikings vs. Whitehaven Tigers
After a string of seven wins, the Hillcrest Vikings's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 97-85 hit to the loss column at the hands of Whitehaven. Hillcrest has not had much luck with Whitehaven recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Hillcrest still got an impressive performance from Jordan Allen, who scored 43 points along with four steals. The match was Allen's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Herron, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Hillcrest's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-2. As for Whitehaven, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
