Preview: Moscow Bears vs. Lakeland Hawks
Moscow is 1-9 against Lakeland since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Moscow Bears will be playing at home against the Lakeland Hawks at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Moscow's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 67-58 to Sandpoint. The match was a 28-28 toss-up at halftime, but Moscow was outscored by Sandpoint in the second.
Meanwhile, Lakeland also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Sandpoint by a score of 49-41. While losing is never fun, Lakeland can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while Sandpoint is ranked sixth).
Moscow has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season. As for Lakeland, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home.
