Basketball Game Preview: Rushford-Peterson Trojans vs. Fillmore Central Falcons

The Rushford-Peterson Trojans will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Fillmore Central Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rushford-Peterson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Fillmore Central likes a good challenge.

Last Friday, Rushford-Peterson made easy work of Chatfield and carried off a 77-52 win. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fillmore Central). They blew past Schaeffer Academy 76-35 on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Rushford-Peterson pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 36 points. As for Fillmore Central, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.

Rushford-Peterson beat Fillmore Central 77-67 in their previous matchup back in February. Will Rushford-Peterson repeat their success, or does Fillmore Central have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
