Baseball Recap: Purcell Comes Up Short

Purcell made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Tuttle, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Dragons fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The Dragons haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Purcell's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-4. As for Tuttle, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-1.

While Purcell had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
