Volleyball Recap: Wawasee's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Wawasee can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the South Bend Riley Wildcats.

Wawasee can attribute much of their success to Sarah Cheng, who had four aces and three digs. Those four aces gave Cheng a new career-high. Addison Delagrange also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Wawasee was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Bend Riley only served two.

Wawasee's win bumped their record up to 4-20. As for South Bend Riley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-21 record this season.

Wawasee has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Northridge on the 29th. As for South Bend Riley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against South Bend Saint Joseph on the 2nd.
