Basketball Recap: West Clermont Wolves vs. Walnut Hills Eagles

There's no place like home for the West Clermont Wolves, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They were the clear victor by a 59-39 margin over Walnut Hills. This was payback for West Clermont, who suffered a 37-35 loss the last time these two teams met.

West Clermont found their leader in underclassman Layla Hale, who scored 30 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hale has scored at least a third of West Clermont's points. Paige Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds and two blocks.

West Clermont is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. As for Walnut Hills, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-8.

West Clermont will head out on the road to challenge the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Walnut Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
