Football Recap: Green Mountain Piles Up the Points Against Bear Creek + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Green Mountain). They took their matchup on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 45-0 victory over the Bear Creek Bears. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Rams just coasted through the last quarter.

Green Mountain found their leader in sophomore Marissa VanGuilder, who picked up 62 receiving yards and two scores.

Green Mountain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ella Cockrum and Maddie Amolsch.

The win (which was Green Mountain's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.3 points over those games. As for Bear Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Green Mountain is taking a road trip to challenge Eaglecrest at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Bear Creek, they will welcome Regis Groff at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
