Softball Game Preview: Gar-Field Red Wolves vs. Colonial Forge Eagles

Gar-Field hasn't had much luck against Colonial Forge recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Red Wolves will challenge the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Gar-Field came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 26-0 to Charles J. Colgan. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Red Wolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Colonial Forge came up short against Mountain View on Tuesday, falling 9-3.

Gar-Field's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Colonial Forge, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Gar-Field might still be hurting after the 11-1 defeat they got from Colonial Forge in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Red Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
