Baseball Recap: Foster Find Success

Foster's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Renton Red Hawks 12-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bulldogs considering their two-run performance the match before.

The team relied heavily on Shawn Davidson, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Luis Gerardo also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Foster kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.

Foster's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-15. As for Renton, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Foster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-3 loss against Tyee on the 25th. As for Renton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 19-0 defeat against Interlake on the 25th.
