Softball Game Preview: Kerman Lions vs. Reedley Pirates

The Kerman Lions will take on the Reedley Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kerman's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Reedley's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Kerman didn't have quite enough to beat Selma and fell 5-4. The Lions have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Reedley came up short against Fowler on Monday and fell 6-3.

Reedley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jamilah Taylor, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Kerman's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Reedley, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-9.

Kerman was able to grind out a solid victory over Reedley in their previous matchup back in May of 2023, winning 6-1. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Pirates have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
