Lake Highlands came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Irving Tigers 8-1. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly seven runs.

Lake Highlands' win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Irving, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-20-1.
