Recap: Narragansett Regional Warriors vs. Gardner Wildcats
After flying high against the Quabbin Regional Panthers last Thursday, The Narragansett Regional Warriors came back down to earth. Narragansett Regional's tough 52-31 defeat to Gardner on Friday might stick with them for a while. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
Alexavier Figueroa went supernova for Gardner, rushing for 98 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 171 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes. Ayden Sparrow and his 84 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Gardner's victory.
Narragansett Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Gardner, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Narragansett Regional will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Murdock at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. After both having extra time off, Gardner and Quabbin Regional will shake off the cobwebs and challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on November 22nd. Quabbin Regional is on a three-game streak of home wins, Gardner a four-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
