Volleyball Recap: Freeport Takes a Loss

Freeport was the 3-1 winner over Valley Stream Central when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Devils lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Saturday.

Freeport was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20, 25-20.

Freeport's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Valley Stream Central, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Freeport will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Uniondale at 6:45 p.m. on October 9. As for Valley Stream Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Herricks on the 15th.
