Gilbert won the last time they faced Brookland-Cayce and things went their way on Thursday too. The Indians put the hurt on the Bearcats with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-11, 25-12.

Gabby Esposito paced Gilbert's offense, picking up 11 kills. Esposito got some help from Kaylie Spires and her 23 assists.

Gilbert's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Brookland-Cayce, they are on a 34-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Gilbert will challenge rival Airport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brookland-Cayce is set to square off against their familiar foe North Augusta at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
