Basketball Recap: Pawnee Victorious

After losing to Newkirk the last time they met, Pawnee decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Pawnee Black Bears came out on top against the Newkirk Tigers by a score of 47-38 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Black Bears.

Pawnee's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Newkirk, their loss was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Pawnee will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Newkirk also won't see the court for a while: their next game is against Chisholm at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
