Morristown-Beard put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Manville Mustangs with a sharp 8-1 victory. While the Crimson didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Josh Greenwood tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

On the hitting side, John Cartaina was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Austin Gildea was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Morristown-Beard's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Manville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Morristown-Beard is taking a road trip to square off against Hanover Park at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Manville, they will take on Voorhees at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
