Basketball Recap: Patrick County Sets Scoring Season-High Against Radford

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Patrick County). They strolled past the Radford Bobcats with points to spare on Wednesday, taking the game 57-40. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bobcats, too.

Despite the defeat, Radford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kearson Carter posted 21 points along with eight steals and five boards. That's the most boards Carter has posted since back in December of 2023.

With the win, Patrick County broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-6. As for Radford, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Patrick County will venture away from home to square off against Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Radford, they will head out to challenge Eastern Montgomery at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
