Basketball Recap: Shepherd Comes Up Short

Shepherd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Gladwin Flying G, falling 63-32. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 55-38 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January of 2025.

Shepherd's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Gladwin, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shepherd will face off against Chippewa Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bluejays will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.33 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Gladwin, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Houghton Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flying G's will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
