Recap: Collinsville Kahoks vs. Lincoln-Way West Warriors
On Saturday, Collinsville was the victim of a rough 43-19 defeat at the hands of Lincoln-Way West. While losing is never fun, Collinsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while Lincoln-Way West is ranked 32nd).
When it comes to explaining why Collinsville lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chase Reynolds. Despite the final result, he rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 40 receiving yards. Reynolds was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren Pennell, who threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns.
Collinsville's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Lincoln-Way West, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Collinsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln-Way West also has no future games currently scheduled.
