Softball Recap: Gwynedd Mercy Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against Hatboro-Horsham

Gwynedd Mercy Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hatboro-Horsham Hatters. One positive for the Monarchs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Alexis Mulato made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Madelyn Lorenzo also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hatboro-Horsham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Gwynedd Mercy Academy will head out to take on Penn Wood at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hatboro-Horsham, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hatboro-Horsham will need to watch out since Plymouth Whitemarsh has now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
