Sandy is a perfect 4-0 against David Douglas since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pioneers will be playing at home against the Scots at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sandy has seven straight wins, David Douglas has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Thursday, Sandy earned a 5-2 victory over Barlow.

Brayden Sievertsen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Sandy let Kobe Sparks and Cooper Hibbs run wild. Sparks went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI, while Hibbs went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run marked the first that Sparks has launched this season. Cal Green was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Reynolds hit David Douglas with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Scots came up short against the Raiders, falling 15-7.
Parker Hall was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. David Douglas is 2-1 when Hall posts two or more runs, but 0-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Colin Frazier, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
Sandy's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for David Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.
Sandy took their win against David Douglas in their previous meeting back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 12-0 score. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Scots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
