Softball Recap: Alleman's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Alleman hadn't done well against East Moline United recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Pioneers skirted past the Panthers 9-8. The win was nothing new for the Pioneers as they're now sitting on three straight.

The team relied heavily on Campbell Humphrey, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Lyla Possin, who went 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Alleman kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 7-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Alleman pushed their record up to 11-19 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.25 runs across that stretch. As for East Moline United, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-10 record.

Alleman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Moline United, they will challenge Mercer County at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The Golden Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
