Softball Recap: North Putnam Takes a Loss

North Putnam fell victim to Northview and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-0. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost eight in a row.

Tori Detro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

North Putnam's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Northview, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. North Putnam will face off against rival Cloverdale at 5:30 p.m. on the 8th. Meanwhile, Northview is set to challenge their familiar foe Indian Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
