Football Game Preview: Long Creek Dragons vs. Freeman Golden Eagles

The Long Creek Dragons will head out on the road to take on the Freeman Golden Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Long Creek has given up an average of 33.2 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Long Creek lost 41-20 to Central Catholic on Friday. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Freeman waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 49-26 margin over KIPP Sunnyside. The Golden Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Long Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Freeman, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything came up roses for Long Creek against Freeman when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 48-14 win. In that game, the Dragons amassed a halftime lead of 28-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Saturday.
