Preview: Armada Tigers vs. Marine City Mariners
The Armada Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Marine City Mariners at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Armada couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Kingston by a score of 42-40.
Meanwhile, Marine City came up short against Hazel Park on Friday and fell 50-42. Marine City has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Marine City saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Owen Salisbury, who scored 6 points along with 8 rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyle Rickert, who scored 6 points along with 10 rebounds.
Armada's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Marine City, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
Armada beat Marine City 56-47 in their previous matchup back in January of 2022. Does Armada have another victory up their sleeve, or will Marine City turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
