Baseball Recap: Challis Comes Up Short

If Challis was feeling good fresh off their 14-6 takedown of Wendell on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Soda Springs Cardinals on Friday, falling 10-2. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Challis saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ollar, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Challis' loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Soda Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6-1.

Coming up, Challis will head out on the road to square off against Grangeville at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Vikings surely won't give up without a fight. As for Soda Springs, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Fremont at 2:00 p.m.
