The Howland Tigers will face off against the Edgewood Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Howland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

On Thursday, Howland beat Lakeview 5-2.

Howland got a great performance from Rocco Perkins as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave Perkins a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Luca Fronzaglio, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

Meanwhile, Edgewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson Area.

Devon Sanchez led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Zane Naylor, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

The win got Howland back to even at 9-9. As for Edgewood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-10.

Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Howland has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .446. However, it's not like Edgewood struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
