Basketball Recap: Elkhart Drops Season-High Score on Sublette

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elkhart). They strolled past the Sublette Larks with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 53-36. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-28 two weeks ago.

Despite the defeat, Sublette had strong showings from Jasee Mcvey, who posted 11 points and seven boards, and Lindsey Dyck, who scored eight points in addition to seven rebounds and five assists. That's the most assists Dyck has posted since back in December of 2023. Victoria Lee also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Elkhart pushed their record up to 4-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Sublette, they are on a 33-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Elkhart has already played their next contest (against Lakin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Sublette has already played their next game, a 73-30 loss against Wichita County on the 28th.
