Basketball Recap: Kenedy's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Kenedy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Pettus Eagles out 64-62. The Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Kenedy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Mireles led the charge by going 6 for 15 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Draven Morales, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Kenedy will face off against Woodsboro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pettus, they will challenge Yorktown at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pettus is facing Yorktown at the right time seeing as Yorktown is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
